At Gift Giving Gift Card, we license the patent we were granted in 2020, to create multi-purpose gift cards.
Currently gift cards can only be used for a single purpose. We created a way for non-profits (charities) to partner with for-profit businesses to raise funds for their non-profit.
Additionally, the patent allows for 2 or more for-profit businesses to partner on a single gift card. Imagine the business partnership opportunities this creates.
Scott's mom, Steffie, was one of the most caring and loving people. She died in 2012. She had 2 sons, Scott and Kent and 6 grand children. She taught us all that giving and helping people in need was incredibly important. Her life was focused on helping others.
Scott (pictured with his wife Linda and 2 puppies, Ollie & Brickley) has 3 sons. One of the many things he learned from his mom was helping others. When she died, he wanted to honor her, and invented a way for non-profits to raise money through the use of gift cards.
Imagine combining a non-profit and a for-profit on the same gift card where the giver of the gift card specifies how much goes to a charity and how much goes to the for-profit. In other words, rather than a non-profit receiving 1%, they could receive 50%, or more, of the proceeds.
